The eligibility criteria for the post of Jammu and Kashmir J&K High Court Recruitment 2023 are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria For the post of Steno-Typist at J&K High Court :

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Diploma in Shorthand and typewriting from a recognized institute, having speed of W.P.M in Shorthand and 30 W.P.M in typing on the computer Key Board.

Eligibility Criteria For the post of Junior Assistant at J&K High Court:

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
• The candidate should have a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English.

Age Limit of J&K High Court Recruitment for the Posts of Steno-Typists and Junior Assistants – 20 Posts:

The age limit for both positions is 18-42 years, Age as on 01.04.2023.
I) should not be below 18 years; and
II) Not above:-
a) 42 years in case of Open Merit candidates.
b) 45 years in case of Reserved Category candidates.
c) 44 years in case of Physically Challenged candidates.
d) 48 years in case of Ex. Servicemen.
e) 42 years in case of candidates in Government Service/Contractual
employees.

Selection Process for the recruitment of J&K High Court:

Candidates belonging to Union Territory of Ladakh only can apply for these posts.

The selection process for these positions will be based on a written test and a skill test. The written test will consist of objective type questions based on General English, General Knowledge, and Basic Mathematics. The skill test will be conducted to test the typing speed and proficiency of the candidates.
